Se realiza la síntesis de compuestos heterocíclicos y sus precursores a través de procesos de bajo impacto ambiental mediante catálisis heterogénea. Así mismo, se lleva a cabo la preparación, caracterización y utilización de materiales sólidos ácidos, heteropoliácidos y compuestos relacionados, entre otros. Se busca utilizar metodologías de síntesis de bajo impacto ambiental, a través de la realización de reacciones en ausencia de solvente y el reuso de los catalizadores.
