Se lleva a cabo la síntesis de materiales sólidos con aplicación en síntesis orgánica. Entre ellos podemos destacar: materiales mesoporosos dopados calcio, materiales a base de sílice o alúmina sulfonados, hidrotalcitas magnéticas dopadas con metales, y calixarenos sulfonados. Esta línea de investigación se lleva adelante en colaboración con grupos de Colombia (UPTC) y Brasil (Universidad de Viçosa).
